Ghosts of the radio universe: new discoveries of faint circular objects using MeerKAT and ASKAP EMU. Monday 7 April, 6:30pm

Dirk Goës

Presented by Professor Miroslav D. Filipović, Western Sydney University

Join us at Sydney Observatory for a fascinating talk by Professor Filipovic about the research he has undertaken as part of the team investigating faint circular objects using radio astronomy.

This is an in-person event. If you are not a member please email: sydneycityskywatchers@gmail.com and you will be invited to attend (subject to availability)

Bio

Professor Miroslav Filipovic is an academic conducting research and teaching in astronomy and astrophysics at Western Sydney University. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Sydney, he pursued various academic positions in Australia and internationally. His research primarily focuses on supernova remnants, X-ray binaries, and high-energy phenomena in the universe.

Professor Filipovic's work has been widely published in leading scientific journals, and he has participated in numerous international collaborations, advancing the understanding of high-energy processes in the cosmos.
